My Hero Academia is a series where Villains run rampant and Heroes try their best to stop them. As such, the scope for death is quite big in the series that Kohei Horikoshi created. In fact, we've seen quite a few deaths in My Hero Academia already, which adds a layer of realism to the story.

With massive battles constantly arising every now and then, it's not hard to predict that a few characters face the threat of death from the sides of both the heroes and the villains. Here are 5 characters who may die in My Hero Academia, and 5 who won't.

10 Will Die: All Might

All Might is the former Number One Hero in My Hero Academia who retired after defeating All For One in the battle of Kamino. With his powers all but gone, All Might is barely a husk of his former self and the fact that Villains are still gunning for him doesn't help him at all.

Furthermore, Sir Nighteye's predictions about All Might dying a horrible death in the future still stands and could very well happen soon in the series. While Midoriya did change the future that Sir Nighteye saw once, whether the same can be done again or not is arguable.

9 Won't Die: Shigaraki Tomura

Shigaraki Tomura is the current leader of the League of Villains. After All For One's capture, Shigaraki grasped power in his own hands and took control of his destiny. With time, he's grown to be an incredible threat to the world of My Hero Academia, and possibly someone capable enough to kill even All Might.

Shigaraki Tomura won't die anytime soon in the series because he is the face of the Villains. For now, it is safe to say that he doesn't need to worry about dying even though he does reckless things all the time.

8 Will Die: All For One

All For One is the former leader of the League of Villains in My Hero Academia and also one of the worst known criminals in the history of the show. All For One plays a similar role in the life of Shigaraki Tomura that All Might plays in Midoriya's. Just like All Might, All For One has been incapacitated right now, and it won't surprise the fans if he dies anytime soon either.

With the legacy of All For One having been passed to Shigaraki already, it is safe to say that All For One will serve a smaller purpose than he would've initially. Having said that, All For One won't be dying soon since he's locked up at Tartarus right now.

7 Won't Die: Izuku Midoriya

The protagonist of My Hero Academia, Izuku Midoriya is the guy who intends to become the next Number One Hero, and in the process, establish himself as the Symbol of Peace, akin to All Might. Izuku is the face of the show and to say that he'll die in the future would simply be preposterous.

Furthermore, the story begins with Izuku Midoriya narrating how he becomes the Number One Hero, meaning he does get to achieve his goal eventually. As such, there's absolutely no way that Midoriya will end up dying before the series wraps up.

6 Will Die: Hawks

Hawks is the current Number 2 Hero, behind only the monstrous Endeavor in terms of power. Hawks is posing as a member of the Paranormal Liberation Front and supplying information to the Hero Association about their plans. In doing so, he's sticking his neck out already, and the chances for him to die rise dramatically.

Hawks has already raised a few eyebrows in the Liberation Front and Rikiya Yotsubashi has become suspicious of him. There's no denying that Hawks could end up dying in My Hero Academia, and that could be very soon.

5 Won't Die: Bakugo Katsuki

Bakugo Katsuki is a Hero aspirant, just like Izuku Midoriya, and one of the frontrunners for the spot of the future Number 1 Hero. Bakugo is essential to the story moving forward, and being a member of the next generation of Heroes, the chances for him to encounter death are very low.

Although many predict Bakugo might die in the future, it just doesn't make sense for a guy filled with potential to the brim to end up falling so soon. Bakugo will end up becoming a tremendous Hero and death should be the last thing his fans should be worried about.

4 Will Die: Best Jeanist

The Number 4 Hero, Best Jeanist is a powerful guy with the ability to manipulate the fibers of his jeans. Thanks to his incredible strength, Jeanist continues to grow further and get closer to the Number One spot. However, Jeanist could very well die very soon.

In fact, it is highly likely that Best Jeanist is already dead as of now. During the Meta Liberation Army arc, it was implied that Best Jeanist has died already, although whether that is true or not remains to be seen.

3 Won't Die: Shoto Todoroki

Shoto Todoroki is the son of Endeavor, described as a guy with the potential to surpass even All Might. In Shoto, Kohei Horikoshi has created a tremendous character that has opened so many possibilities for him. Shoto's development is easily one of the most interesting ones that we've seen in the entire My Hero Academia series, and he still has ways to go.

For Horikoshi, killing him off right now simply wouldn't make any sense. Just like Bakugo and Midoriya, the chances for Shoto Todoroki to die are close to zero.

2 Will Die: Gran Torino

One of the most seasoned Heroes in the entirety of My Hero Academia, Gran Torino is a character who has already played a great role in the series. His age, when combined with his waning strength makes him susceptible to death.

Although there's nothing that indicates Gran Torino will die anytime soon, the fact that he's one of the oldest characters and not particularly strong makes him a likely candidate to fall in the next arc of the series.

1 Won't Die: Ochaco Uraraka

Uraraka is the main female character in Kohei Horikoshi's My Hero Academia series. Although she hasn't been focused on much yet, Ochaco will soon take the stage in the upcoming arcs and show us what she's truly capable of.

Just like many other next-generation characters, Ochaco Uraraka has a lot of potential and seeing her die before she gets to fulfill it doesn't make much sense. Furthermore, she's yet to establish herself as a strong Hero or achieve her dreams. Therefore, her death isn't likely to come anytime soon.
