WARNING: The following contains spoilers for "Crisis on Infinite Earths, Part One," which premiered Sunday on The CW.

Part One of The CW's Arrowverse crossover "Crisis on Infinite Earths" helped Supergirl soar. However, it still fell a bit short of last year's "Elseworlds."

Supergirl secured a 0.6 rating in the adults 18-49 demographic and 1.67 million viewers. While this is a season-high for the series and a dramatic improvement from the previous week's episode, it fell it still fell 1/10 short of the Supergirl chapter of "Elseworlds."

The first chapter of "Crisis on Infinite Earths" saw Harbinger and The Monitor gather the heroes of the Arrowverse to unite in the wake of the eponymous catastrophe. However, during the battle against The Anti-Monitor's Shadow Demons, the heroes were forced to retreat -- all except Oliver Queen, who remained behind and sacrificed himself so that over 1 billion of the denizens of Earth-38 could survive.

"Crisis on Infinite Earths" continues in The Flash on Tuesday, Dec. 10 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. After the winter hiatus, the crossover will conclude on Tuesday, Jan. 14 in Arrow at 8 p.m. ET/PT and in DC's Legends of Tomorrow at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
