Ghostbusters: Afterlife, formerly known as Ghostbusters 2020, has debuted several new photos featuring characters and concepts new and old.
The photos, released by Vanity Fair, include our first look at Paul Rudd's Mr. Grooberson, McKenna Grace's Phoebe, Finn Wolfhard's Trevor and finally, the familiar sight of the Ecto-1.
Afterlife, which wrapped production in October, won't just feature new characters, as franchise veterans Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson and Sigourney Weaver will also reprise their roles from the 1984 original and its 1989 sequel, though it remains unclear how they'll factor into film.
As for how the new installment connects to the previous two films, director Jason Reitman has said Afterlife "is a new adventure that connects back to the Manhattan Crossrip of 1984." This, of course, is in stark contrast to 2016's divisive, all-female Ghostbusters, which was a reboot that existed in a separate universe from the other film.
Ghostbusters: Afterlife is directed by Jason Reitman, who also co-wrote the film with Gil Kenan. Starring Finn Wolfhard, Carrie Coon, Paul Rudd and Mckenna Grace, the film arrives in theaters July 10, 2020.
