Earlier this year, it was announced that one of the guest stars for the upcoming Arrowverse crossover event "Crisis on Infinite Earths" would be Kevin Conroy, the voice of Batman in Batman: The Animated Series and various other projects. Conroy will portray the Kingdom Come version of Bruce Wayne for the crossover but hopes he can return to the Arrowverse as Batman following "Crisis".
While speaking to ComicBook.com, Conroy expressed joy over the possibility of coming back as Batman to The CW's popular shared superhero universe.
"Wouldn’t that be awesome? That would be so awesome," Conroy stated."I was thinking that as I was doing this, that I’m kind of inhabiting Old Bruce Wayne from Batman Beyond. He’s not that old — Bruce Wayne in Batman Beyond is, like, 80. He’s not that old in this, but he is as limited in his ability to be physical in this. He’s not fully able-bodied. In that sense, he’s like Old Bruce Wayne in Batman Beyond. And I was using the voice, actually, from Old Bruce Wayne from Batman Beyond. I was thinking, it would be great to do that. I would love it.”
However, it was reported back in February that the Batwoman TV series couldn't actually bring the Dark Knight into the Arrowverse, though Conroy playing the Kingdom Come version of Bruce Wayne in "Crisis" may be a sign of a change in regards to that.
"Crisis on Infinite Earths" begins Sunday, Dec. 8 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Supergirl, then continues in Batwoman on Monday, Dec. 9 at 8 p.m. ET/PT and in The Flash on Tuesday, Dec. 10 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. After the winter hiatus, the crossover will conclude on Tuesday, Jan. 14 in Arrow at 8 p.m. ET/PT and in DC's Legends of Tomorrow at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
