The Fast & Furious world is about to a get lot bigger with spinoff animated series Fast & Furious: Spy Racers, which debuts on Netflix this month.
The upcoming series -- developed for younger audiences -- has unveiled its first full trailer. The show centers around Tony Toretto, the young cousin of franchise protagonist Dom Toretto. Following in his family's footsteps, Tony and his friends are recruited by the government to infiltrate an elite car racing league SH1FT3R, which serves as a front for a sinister criminal organization.
The series stars Tyler Posey as Tony, Camille Ramsey as a tough SH1FT3R racer, Luke Youngblood as tech genius Frostee Benson, Charlet Chung as the team's martial artist Echo, Jorge Diaz as the team's muscle Cisco Renaldo, Renee Elise Goldsberry as the team's covert liaison Ms. Nowhere, Similce Diesel as Frostee's younger sister Sissy and Manish Dayal as the nefarious leader of SH1FT3R.
A teaser trailer was unveiled this past June and provided fans with a first look at the franchise's animated spinoff as the racers blazed across Los Angeles. Judging by the full trailer, the franchise doesn't appear to be slowing down on television.
Executive produced by Vin Diesel, Neal H. Moritz, Chris Morgan, Tim Hedrick and Bret Haaland, Fast & Furious: Spy Racers arrives on Netflix starting Dec. 26.
