10 Korbin

The first world to look at is one that was lost long ago, but gave rise to some of the powerful beings Marvel fans now know and love. That world is Korbin, the homeworld of the Korbinites. A long lost world whose people were forced to evacuate when fire demons sent by Muspelheim leader Surtur attacked, the planet was located in the Burning Galaxy.

Using advanced science and technology, the Korbinites created the greatest warrior of their people, Beta Ray Bill. Using his newfound powers to fight off the fire demons, he rounded up a large portion of his people on a ship called Skuttlebutt and escaped his world’s destruction.

9 Sakaar

Another powerful planet that would eventually be lost but housed some of the most powerful beings was Sakaar. The only planet with sentient life in the Tayo Star System, Sakaar was first introduced when the Hulk was launched into space by the Illuminati, (Mr. Fantastic, Charles Xavier, Tony Stark, Black Bolt, Namor and Doctor Strange), creating the event Planet Hulk.

The planet would eventually be destroyed by Galactus after his herald the Silver Surfer bested Skaar, the Son of Hulk, in battle. However using the Time Stone, the planet was restored, and placed beneath the planet’s surface until the Super-Skrull dug it up.

8 Xandar

One planet that had a long history of being destroyed and then resurrected was Xandar. Gaining popularity and power from becoming the homeworld of the Nova Corps, Marvel’s own space police force. Originally saved from destruction by Uatu the Watcher, he helped them create domed cities to live in.

The planet has been targeted and attacked several times by villains like Nebula, the Skrulls and Annihilus. Richard Rider, aka Nova, used the Nova Force to help repair the Xandarian Worldmind, which recreated the passed on inhabitants of the planet and the Nova Corps overall, making this planet notorious for surviving apocalyptic endings.

7 Titan

One of the more complex alien worlds in the Marvel Universe has to be Titan. Inhabited by the survivors of the first generation war of Eternals, the Eternals following the losing side of Uranos hid on Titan after surviving a battle with the Kree and formed a society inside the underground portion of Titan.

Two surviving Eternals, Mentor and Sui-San, gave birth to the Titanian Eternals. However, their last two sons were Eros and Thanos. Thanos was a mutant of the Eternals and grew up dreaming of conquest and death. He led the destruction of Titan, but years later survivors helped rebuild their society of peace and meditation.

6 Klyntar

Otherwise known as the planet of the symbiotes, Klyntar is home to the popular alien race known also as the Klyntar. Created by the dark elder god Knull in the Andromeda Galaxy, Knull created the artificial planet to become his Throneworld. He used this world to begin attacking and enslaving other gods using the symbiotes to battle the light bringing Celestials.

When the symbiotes regained control, they trapped and imprisoned Knull in the center of the planet, making it his prison. However the planet saw much, from the arrival of the Poisons and Kree to Knull awakening and destroying the planet.

5 Counter-Earth

One unique alien world created for experimentation and other purposes was Counter-Earth. First created by the High Evolutionary to continue his genetic and evolutionary experimentation to create a purified human race. Using some of the Infinity Gems, he created the planet to hide it from Prime Earth and since has populated the planet with his New Men.

The planet has also been used by Franklin Richards to save his family and the heroes of the Marvel Universe from the sacrifice they made by creating a pocket universe to house them in, where they relieved altered versions of their past.

4 Hala

One of the most powerful planets in the Marvel Universe has to be Hala, the homeworld of the might alien race known as The Kree. A powerful and scientifically advanced society, the Kree have been in a long-standing war with the Skrull Empire. In actuality, the Kree were the instigators of the war.

The Kree were peaceful space-faring aliens who were looking for trade partners. However, the Kree stole the Skrull’s technology and began a war with their Empire. Hala became the Kree’s homeworld and became home to the Supreme Intelligence and figures like Mar-Vell and Ronan the Accuser.

3 Battleworld

One world that is truly unique to the Marvel Universe has to be Battleworld. Renowned for appearing in major events like Secret Wars, Battleworld has been constructed at least three times from fragments of various worlds, cities and locations of the Marvel Multiverse. First created by the Beyonder, the heroes of the Marvel Universe tend to meet up and battle the world’s creator.

The most infamous in recent years to showcase Battleworld is 2015’s Secret Wars. The event saw Doctor Doom absorb the power of the Beyonders and become God Emperor Doom, creating a new Battleworld out of the fragments of the multiverse.

2 Ego

The second most powerful planet to exist in the Marvel Universe has to be Ego the Living Planet. The sentient planet became known in popular media thanks to his portrayal by Kurt Russell in Guardians of the Galaxy 2, but in Marvel Comics his original appearances saw him battling none other than Thor.

A villainous sentient planet who corrupts others and even tried corrupting the Nova Corps when they tried settling on the planet, Ego has battled Thor, The Fantastic Four and the Silver Surfer. He later went on to join the Elders of the Universe, hoping to destroy Galactus.

1 Asgard

While the most powerful planet in the Marvel Universe happens to be known as a “realm”, it technically is a planet. The Asgardians may call themselves gods, but in fact, they are powerful and near-immortal alien beings who were deemed gods by humanity. Ruled by Odin the All-Father, the realm is known as the home of the hero Thor.

Otherwise known as Thor Odinson, Thor has to protect both Asgard and Midgard or Earth, from threats that include his adoptive brother Loki, the Frost Giants and even Surtur, who attempts to start Ragnarok and destroy Asgard for good.
