Fans of Game of Thrones might have a hard time thinking of Ramsay Bolton as anything but the evil villain he played on the HBO series, but casting officials for American Gods have something else in mind for him. Iwan Rheon, the actor who played Ramsay, has been cast in Season 3 of the Starz supernatural drama as a leprechaun named Liam Doyle.
According to TVLine, not much is known about the character, Liam, but it is worth mentioning that he will be the only leprechaun on the series after Mad Sweeney (Pablo Schrieber) left in Season 2. Fans will also be happy to know that Liam has been described as "good-natured" and "charming," which is a far cry from Rheon's role as Ramsay on Game of Thrones.
This is only the most recent casting news for the Neil Gaiman series. It also announced the addition of Danny Trejo as one of the many forms of Mr. World, Marilyn Manson, Julia Sweeney and rapper Wale
Based on the Neil Gaiman novel of the same name, American Gods stars Ricky Whittle, Emily Browning, Pablo Schreiber, Crispin Glover, Bruce Langley, Yetide Badaki, Ian McShane, Mousa Kraish, Kahyun Kim, Demore Barnes, Orlando Jones and Chris Obi. Season 3 began filming on Oct. 9 and will premiere some time next year.
